We are overjoyed to share some incredible progress from our project in Kenya. The first borehole has been successfully drilled, and a sturdy water tower, complete with a 10,000-litre tank, now stands proudly in the village. This marks a pivotal moment in our mission to provide clean, reliable water to rural communities.
A True Team Effort
This achievement would not have been possible without the collective efforts of a large and dedicated team. Local residents joined forces with skilled professionals to bring this ambitious project to life. In addition to erecting the water tower, the team has already started constructing a tap point, ensuring the fresh water can be easily accessed by the entire community.
The scale of the project is impressive. The 10,000-litre tank, which measures 3 metres in diameter and weighs 10 tonnes when full, required a remarkably strong tower to support it. The structure was meticulously designed and built to ensure it can withstand the significant weight and provide long-lasting service to the village.
Powered by Partnership
This milestone was made possible thanks to the generous funding from Van Store, a company closely associated with our team member James. Their support enabled this first trip, the borehole drilling, and the water tower construction. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to making a difference and helping us take this crucial first step.
Capturing the Moment
We’ve received a handful of photos and videos from the team in Kenya, showcasing the incredible work that has taken place. While we’re still piecing together the full context of these updates, one thing is clear: the progress is inspiring. It’s heartening to see the tangible results of the team’s dedication and the excitement of the local community as they prepare to benefit from a reliable source of fresh water.
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning of our journey. With the first borehole and water tower complete, we are already looking ahead to the next steps, including finalising the tap point and monitoring the impact of this project on the village.
Thank you for following our progress. We’ll continue to share updates as we move forward in our mission to improve access to clean water.
Please consider donating to help us bring clean, reliable water to more communities in need and transform lives one project at a time.
